Woo! So after spending 4 years at a 2 year school (long story, don't ask) I'm finally moving on with life! Come January I'll be going to SUNY New Paltz for a degree in Graphic Design! I'm very excited to say the least. I know a few of my friends wanted me to go to different schools for whatever reasons but I think NP is what's best for me. It's got everything I need; good teachers, a great reputation for art related stuff, the town is right up my alley, I know a number of people going there and it gets me out of my parents house without being to far removed from home. All's well in the world. The past 4 years at community college have been rough, what with asshole advisers, retarded department heads, parents who still treat you like a child but expect you to act grown up about it, changing majors and having virtually nothing transfer, and having an overall feeling of being stuck in high school all over again (which isn't helped by the fact that I WORK at my old high school) but I'm hoping I've come away from it more enlightened than scarred. I guess the test for that is how easily I adjust to proper college life. Should be fun. Now if only I could find housing.....
